Gary Stu is the male counterpart label to Mary Sue: a hyper-competent, overly admired male character who rarely faces meaningful failure or pushback.
Example
A mysterious stranger who defeats the villain solo, wins every duel, and has every love interest notice him may read as a Gary Stu.
