What is Narrator?

The narrator is the voice that tells the story to the reader.

Definition

The narrator is the voice that tells the story to the reader. The narrator may be a character inside the story or an outside storyteller, and may know everything or only part of what happened.

Example

In a first-person novel, the narrator says "I walked home alone." In third person, the narrator says "She walked home alone."
